The old St.Kilda bicycle shop in the heart of St.Kilda village became available enabling the clients to realise their long held vision of an authentic Mexican Taqueria. Next to one of St.Kilda’s original cafes, the Galleon, Radio Mexico inhabits a prominent corner triangular site. On the ground level, of this two level site, is the main Dining, Bar, Courtyard, Taqueria Caravan and amenities. The upper level, accessed by a restored original staircase, holds the prep kitchen and additional services. The Taqueria Caravan is literally wedged in between interior and exterior housing kitchen and servery to both the dining room and courtyard. The open outdoor covered terrace extends the space, defined by a perimeter breeze block wall and tea tree lined pergola roof.
